What Is a Good Age for Kids to Start Skateboarding?
Skaters under the age of 5 shouldn’t skateboard. I recommend that you supervise your kids and stay close by, as doctors recommend not allowing them to do so unless they are specially trained or experienced in this area – otherwise known as an exception (you’ll see these talented children perform amazing tricks)
It’s not too late to get a skateboard! It will help you spend quality time with your child. If it is his first time, I suggest getting the classic cruiser board so he can learn how everything works and has more room for error when doing tricks or navigating busy streets as an adult-sized rider
It may be hard at first because kids today are different than they were in my day but once we have some practice under our belts then nothing beats cruising around town side by side while sharing adventure stories
4 Years Old Is Still a Bit Young for Skateboarding
By age four, your child should be able to ride an adult-sized skateboard. If they’re not quite tall enough for that yet or if you have a bike helmet lying around from when someone was smaller than them then use that instead!
