How To Choose A Skateboard

Are you in the market for a skateboard? If so, it can be tough to know which board is right for you. With all of the different brands and styles available, how can you be sure that you’re making the right choice? This guide will help make the process a little easier by outlining some of the key factors to consider when choosing your perfect skateboard. So whether you’re a beginner just starting out or an experienced rider looking for a new ride, read on for tips on how to choose a skateboard that’s perfect for you

There are so many skateboards to choose from these days, it can be hard to know which one is the right fit for you. In this blog post, we will outline the key factors you need to consider when choosing a skateboard, as well as provide a few recommendations based on different riding styles. Let’s get started!

There are a lot of things to consider when choosing a skateboard. The most important thing is to pick the right deck for your size, weight and ability. Once you have the right deck, you need to choose the right trucks, wheels and bearings. Here are some tips on how to choose the best skateboard for you.

A Kid-Size Skateboard Isn’t Always Necessary

You might think that a kid-sized skateboard is only for younger children, but the truth of the matter is you can use them too. If your child has shown interest in riding their own two feet and touching off key points on each side (front and back) then they are ready! You may find more young people who choose to ride around with an adult sized deck because there’s safety in numbers – so make sure you’re always within eyeshot when out skating as well

A Kid-Size Skateboard Isn’t Always Necessary

Kid-sized skateboards are great for kids who want to learn how steer. They provide more space when pushing, so the outside of their feet have an easier time moving around on this wider deck compared with smaller ones that only allow room at either end (front or back). Once children start understanding which direction will make them go faster then it becomes even easier because there’s less weight distribution needed – making these kind wheels much quicker than regular adult sized models!

Child Skateboard Size Chart

Skateboard size chart for kids! My plan is different than most out there because I’ve had extensive experience with the industry. If your kid’s board measures between 7-8 inches wide, they should have no problem skating it and having a great time. Don’t fall into the hype of thinking anything less than this range will make them feel uncomfortable or unsafe – my guess is you’ll be shopping again very soon The following passage discusses toys geared towards children in development stages 2 through 5…

Age Kid height Skateboard width
5 or under 3’4 or under 6.5″ to 7.0″
6 to 8 3’5 to 4’4 7.0″ to 8.0″
9-12 4’5 to 5’2 7.5″ to 8.0″
13 and over 5’3 or over 8.0″+

What Is a Good Age for Kids to Start Skateboarding?

Skaters under the age of 5 shouldn’t skateboard. I recommend that you supervise your kids and stay close by, as doctors recommend not allowing them to do so unless they are specially trained or experienced in this area – otherwise known as an exception (you’ll see these talented children perform amazing tricks)

What Is a Good Age for Kids to Start Skateboarding?

It’s not too late to get a skateboard! It will help you spend quality time with your child. If it is his first time, I suggest getting the classic cruiser board so he can learn how everything works and has more room for error when doing tricks or navigating busy streets as an adult-sized rider

It may be hard at first because kids today are different than they were in my day but once we have some practice under our belts then nothing beats cruising around town side by side while sharing adventure stories

4 Years Old Is Still a Bit Young for Skateboarding

By age four, your child should be able to ride an adult-sized skateboard. If they’re not quite tall enough for that yet or if you have a bike helmet lying around from when someone was smaller than them then use that instead! You can also go with one of two different types: kid sized deck and trucks (which is good until about six) but there’s no point in getting anything bigger since these tend only last up until five years old anyways

4 Years Old Is Still a Bit Young for Skateboarding

It is not uncommon to see 4-year olds skateboarding. Often they are so talented that it makes you wonder how on earth, little beings can do things like this! I’ve seen videos online of young children doing tricks and stunts with their boards that would make veterans blush in awe (and fear).

6 to 10 Year Old Is the Perfect Age to Skate

When kids turn 6 you still have to watch them at all times, up until they are 10 years old. We tested quite a few skateboards in this age range and found some great ones for your son or daughter! Every year my kid gets one moreyear older (weird right?), he’s now 9 so we had plenty of time testing al kindsof boards here are our favorites:

Recommended skateboards for 6 year olds
Recommended skateboards for 7 year olds
Recommended skateboards for 8 year olds

Santa Cruz

If you’re looking for a smaller size skateboard to ride, like the one my son rides and is still in good condition after two years of use. I recommend checking out Santa Cruz Skateboards! They make quality boards that can take some abuse too which means they’ll last longer than most other brands on the market today

Santa Cruz

The OJ wheels are the perfect choice for street skating. The soft rubber provides excellent grip and can handle rough surfaces, like small rocks or twigs that would otherwise hurt your board’s performance on smoother pavement! And with its noiselessness you won’t have any trouble keeping up without annoying others around you either–it’ll be hard not to notice this beautiful rig when they’re out there pushing their limits too!

You might think these high quality parts come at an expensive price tag but fear not because we offer discounts if buying multiple items from us (and who doesn’t love saving money?). So before deciding whether it is really worth paying more than necessary check our site first

Enjoi Skateboard

My son loves Enjoi’s skateboards, especially the graphics. He says it makes him feel like a pro when he rides them around town! The softer bushings make steering easier and keep your balance during rough terrain while still being able to correct yourself easily if need be with those rubber wheels that will stay put no matter what you throw at em’.

Enjoi Skateboard

Plus they come in many different sizes so there is something perfect just waiting for every kid on this planet The brilliant designs are sure not only attract kids’ attention but also offer an opportunity of having some fun

Element

Element is a fantastic brand that offers skateboards with kids in mind. The great thing about these boards are their softer bushings (plastic cones between the trucks) which helps your little one to steer and makes them more responsive than other comparable products on the market today! Lots of complete beginners can get going right away thanks this board as well- just give it some time before letting them take over completely from you at first

Element

The 95A/53mm wheels provide a smooth ride and you won’t get annoyed by the noise many of those cheap plastic boards make. Your kids will enjoy riding this one, because it’s so much safer than their old skates or roller blades! Amazon might have some in stock – click here to check for availability before they sell out again

Powell Peralta Golden Dragon

The Santa Cruz board is rather expensive and for a bit less you can get the Powell Golden Dragon 3. After testing this beginner-friendly roller skate, I must admit it’s been one of our better budget options around here at FunCheap!

Powell Peralta Golden Dragon

It isn’t quite as smooth or high end feeling as some other name brands out there like Positiv Team but what do they charge an arm & leg compared to ours? That said if smaller riders who are between 7 – 12 years old want something affordable then we think this might be just right up your alley with grippy wheels that don
